1. Contact the Wyoming County Humane Society at (570) 836-4745, Griffin Pond Animal Shelter at (570) 586-3700, True Friends Animal Welfare Center at (570) 278-1228, and Luzerne County SPCA at (570) 825-4111
2. Utilize social media.  Be sure to post on our Facebook page!
3. Place posters at local businesses
4. Contact neighbors and local police (borough or township)
5. It is useful sometimes to offer a reward
6. Contact 911 and the PA State Police non-emergency number at (570) 836-2141
7. If the lost pet is a dog, contact PA Dog Law at (570) 836-2181.

All pets should wear ID tags, and the Humane Society suggests microchipping pets. 

Originally founded by District Attorney Brendan Vanston, the Humane Society of Wyoming County has served the community for the past 35 years.  In that time, its been a fixture at the Wyoming County Fair, Founders Day, Christmas in Our Home Town and Nicholson Bridge Day.  HSWC is a volunteer-run, 501 (c) (3) tax exempt corporation.
